Meatballs
Ingredients
- 450 g of lean minced beef
- 1 large onion, finely chopped
- 2–3 cloves of garlic, finely chopped
- 2 spoons of tomato puree
- 400 g finely chopped tomatoes
Method
- Place the minced meat in a large bowl.
- Fry the onion and garlic until golden brown.
- Add a little water and tomato puree to the pan.
- Cook for a few minutes.
- Add this mixture to the minced meat and mix well.
- Shape into meatballs with damp hands.
- Drain any excess fat from the pan or gently pat meatballs with kitchen paper to remove any excess fat.
- Add the can of chopped tomatoes to the frying pan and season with pepper.
- Cook the meatballs gently in the frying pan for 15–20 minutes, turning occasionally
Serve with pasta
